Play Long believes that “Art is created through the life we live”.

Having the tune similar to a mixed version of Capital Cities, Foster The People, Moby and Daft Punk; the newly established indie electro duo Play Long was formed in 2017 by vocalist/producer Peng Li and drummer Chuang Yu in New York City. Li and Yu first started play together in another Li's band Up Facility in 2015, when they were both attending New York University (NYU) (Li was in Music Tech graduate program and Yu was a senior in Art major). During their time in Up Facility, the couple developed a new project: using the technology at hand, through their music, to send out pure energy, the kind of energy that can inspire people to turn dream into reality. Play Long, therefore, was formed in 2017 followed by the release of their first single "Just a Dream".

Side Story:

In 2010, Li and Yu met each other in Boston, MA; at that time, they were both pursuing other careers (the former was a graduate student majoring in leadership in financial institution, and the latter was a freshman in accounting). They became couple in the following year. The ultimate passion for music and art, however, led the two to take a leap of faith. As a result, Yu went to NYU to study Studio Art first, and ended up as a jewelry designer. In 2014, one year before Yu graduated, Li attended NYU's Music Technology graduate program. Since then, Li started to teach Yu to play drum, their music journey, thus, began.
